Thirty:3 is a social initiative for good, providing brand and marketing advice to people who need it – whatever your business or industry.
Thirty-minute chats: 3 chats a day
Monday — Friday
7:30 AM | 8:00 AM | 8:30 AM
Times are whatever time it happens to be in Sydney, Australia. If you are in another time zone, please get in touch and we can work something out.
It started simply enough. A conversation over lunch with my good mate Dave, followed by a LinkedIn post with a simple offer of help as COVID-19 took hold of the world.
3 days, 30,000 views, and dozens of messages later, I had my first conversation with someone who had responded to my offer with a request for advice on their brand and marketing.
With all the 30-minute time slots booked for the first week and some more encouragement from Dave and a couple more mates, what started as a simple offer of help in a time of unprecedented change, concern and even fear, became Thirty:3.
I have to admit, I have my own doubts about how much this can actually help – and whether it’s even worth the trouble of writing this, building a website, and promoting the opportunity to book thirty minutes with me to talk about someone’s brand or marketing. But it’s something. It might be something big, it might be something small, but it’s all relative and it’s better than doing nothing.

How it works
All you need to do is book a time slot in my diary: 30 minutes, one morning Monday to Friday, either 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM or 8:30 AM AEDT (that’s whatever time it happens to be in Sydney, Australia right now) . So long as you need help on brand or marketing, I’m here to help with whatever advice you think you might need – and hopefully I can indeed help, one way or another. If time zones mean those time slots can’t work for you – for example, you live in Asia – then please contact me and we can work out an alternative time (but please bear in mind that I still have my regular job to do too).
How it started
This all started as something of an accident, or at least a simple idea to do something good as COVID-19 tightened its grip on our world. I found myself, like millions of others, working from home and it seemed to make sense to make more of the extra time that I would have available as a result of not commuting to work. What started as a simple idea got enough interest to make me think it might be worth continuing for as long as it might last. That might be one week, one month, one year, who knows? Just so long as people want advice on their brand and marketing.
About Thirty:3
This is a social initiative designed only to help others — at a time when it feels like we need to help one another more than ever. There is nothing commercial about this initiative, no money is involved, just the offer of free time outside of me working my regular job to try and make a small difference in a big world.
About me
I’m Richard, or Rich, either will do. I’ve been working in brand and marketing for 20 years, I feel lucky to have a good career, to have worked with great people, both as colleagues and clients. I’ve helped create new brands, transform existing brands, and even retired brands – in most sectors and across multiple markets around the world.
